Lately I have found myself thinking a lot about work. I am a year from graduating from college and I certainly want work to be a part of my life after leaving behind the school period. It is a new and exciting period in my life that I would like to be part of, and as a role in business is something I have never tried before, job interviews are the go-to learn experiences.
And when talking about job interviews, the outfit you wear, the way you present yourself to your possible work colleagues, is a major decision. You are giving a first impression, and that is the one that will stay on their minds forever. The best way to present yourself at any kind of job you apply to, is formal.
There are jobs that are much more liberal and don´t really have a dress code, but for any given interview the best is to dress to impress, and formality gives the best impression of professionality. I will soon tell you more about the correct way to dress for an interview, because there are many things to consider, to do and to avoid.
And with all that business woman vibes, I decided to wear a more formal look; casual yet kind of work inspired. Some formal, classic navy blue pants and blazer, which I decided to combine with a white shirt with a french knot, which may show a little bit of skin, something I would never recommend for an interview. Don´t think this is my job interview outfit haha, this is just an inspiration.
Some black booties and beige handbag completed my business woman inspired look. A very natural make up with a touch of color on the lips and an undone bun made it look more casual and fresh. Dressing up accordingly for every occasion is really important. It is great to always follow your style and I embrace that, but remember to always have class, which for me means “Know what to do, how to dress, and what to say at any given situation.”
